Flights

Checked bags are not included on these flights (as with most group flights to the Caribbean). For each individual traveler, Delta Airlines will charge $35 for the 1st checked bag (up to 50 lbs) and United Airlines will charge $40 for the 1st checked bag (up to 50 lbs). Due to limited cargo space on bus transfers, we do ask that each individual bring just one (1) checked bag to Punta Cana (2 total checked bags per couple).

When boarding the plane, travelers are allowed one (1) carry-on bag, plus one (1) small personal item (like a backpack or purse).

Upgrades are not available on group airline contracts. Therefore, if interested in upgrading your seats or changing your flights, you must contact Emalee Derrick before October 15th. Otherwise, we won't be able to help in booking other flight/seat options. Due to group contract policies with the airlines, we will begin issuing all tickets soon after the date above and sending flight confirmations to all participants @ one month prior to travel.

You can also purchase your own flights to Punta Cana if so desired. In return, Wren/Mountainland can issue up to $800 per person (post-trip) as a refund. Your flight plans must match up with the exact dates and airports as indicated on the ITINERARY page. If this is your preference, please contact Emalee before the date indicated above so that we can remove you from the group contract.

Your exact airline will be assigned at random based on the total number of seats available on our Mountainland contracts.

The Trip

- Round-trip flights to/from Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) on Delta or United Airlines (either departing from Salt Lake City or Las Vegas).

- 6 nights' accommodations at the luxurious Secrets Royal Beach Resort (run of house rooms) with all meals and drinks.

- Group activities as indicated on this website (under group ITINERARY and EXPERIENCES).

- Secrets Royal Beach Resort is an all-inclusive resort. Your meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and drinks are included onsite at the various resort restaurants.

Insurance coverage for the dates of the travel program is provided. Such insurance can protect travelers in cases of medical emergencies, accidents, baggage delays, and possible delays with group flights. In such cases, each traveler would file a claim with the insurance provider as needed.

Additional insurance coverage leading up to the actual travel program is not provided (such as trip cancellation due to personal reasons prior to departure).

Please see the EXPERIENCE page for optional activities. Certain activities can be booked through our onsite partners at the resort.

Tipping is included on all group airport transfers and confirmed group activities. For optional tours and personal activities, you are encouraged to include a tip when good service is provided.

As a general rule, we recommend all participants to be cautious while traveling, but don’t forget to also relax and enjoy your time!
