Before My Trip
Weather conditions will be cool and breezy (mid 50s - mid 60s) with chillier evenings. Be sure to pack comfortable clothing for the fall weather on the open water (layers are ideal). Here are some recommended items:
- shorts, capris for mild afternoons
- pants, slacks, jeans for cooler temperatures
- sweaters, jackets and/or coats for cold evenings and fall temperatures
- swimsuit and flip flops (for hot tubs on board)
- comfortable sneakers/tennis shoes, socks
- dress shirts/collared shirts, pants/slacks, blouses/dresses, closed-toe shoes (for certain dining experiences)
- toiletries, medications
- phone, laptop, chargers
- credit/debit cards for personal expenses
Wren International requires all program participants to travel with a U.S. passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond the travel dates (April 20, 2027 to be safe). This requirement is in place to ensure guest safety and flexibility in the event of an emergency while traveling in Canada.
Be sure to download the NCL app once you receive your booking number from Wren International. This will be how you log into your account and see more details related to the cruise.
Accommodations
Ocean View Balcony Staterooms have been confirmed for all Mountainland customers.
Resort Casual
The dress code throughout the ship is generally resort casual (breakfast and lunch venues included). Please review the following guidelines:
- Women: shorts, capris, skirts, casual dresses, jeans, and tops
- Men: shorts, jeans, khakis, polo shirts, and casual shirts
Restrictions:
- swimwear and very short shorts are not permitted in dining venues
- men should not wear tank tops in the main dining rooms or specialty restaurants
- clothing with offensive graphics or language is not permitted
- flip-flops, baseball caps, visors, and excessively ripped or worn jeans should be avoided in fine dining venues
Specialty Restaurants:
If you are dining at one of the ship's specialty restaurants, a more polished look is recommended. Please review the following guidelines:
- Women: dresses, skirts, slacks, jeans, and dressy tops
- Men: slacks or jeans with a collared/polo shirt and closed-toe shoes
Fall Weather:
There will be a fall chill in the air as we cruise up the coast, so please bring a sweater, light jacket, and/or coat. We are expecting temperatures between 40s (low) and 60s (high). The air conditioning on the ship can also be quite cool at times.
Dress Up or Not Night
Norwegian's signature "Dress-Up or Not Night" (formerly Captain's Night) often occurs on the 2nd night of the cruise and is a fun opportunity to dress your best for dinner and photos with family and friends. You are not required to dress up as this is 100% optional. With a freestyle cruising vibe on board, you might see a mix of passengers ranging from those in jeans to others in full suits.
Theme Nights
There could be other theme nights during the cruise (80s fun, white night, glow party, etc). The exact themes of our sailing will be announced closer to departure and often appear in the app.
Each stateroom includes one (1) free device connection to the onboard WiFi. If you would like to add a second device, the additional WiFi connection can be ordered on the ship for $210+ (per device for the entire week).
Yes, a personal credit card will be required to cover all incidentals and personal expenses on the ship.
The cruise is all-inclusive with the unlimited drink package. There are a few specialty restaurants that are an additional cost. However, each guest is entitled to two (2) specialty dinners at no cost while onboard. These dinners take place in specialty restaurants (not the main dining hall) and can be booked through the cruise app closer to departure. Additional specialty dinners can be booked for a surcharge of $40-$60 per person.
Specialty restaurants with additional costs: Cagney's Steakhouse, Teppanyaki, La Cucina, Le Bistro, Palomar, The Bake Shop, The Raw Bar, Wasabi
As for complimentary dining on board: O'Sheehan's Neighborhood Bar & Grill, American Diner, Garden Cafe, Savor, Taste, Have Restaurant, Shanghai's Noodle Bar, Manhattan Room (main dining room for all 3 meals).
It has come to our attention that Norwegian cruise lines will not allow a passenger on board that is past 24 weeks pregnant.
Flights
For each individual traveler, most airlines will allow at least one (1) checked suitcase up to 50 lbs. When boarding the plane, travelers are also allowed one (1) carry-on suitcase, plus one (1) small personal item (like a backpack or purse).
Due to limited cargo space on our buses - and limited storage space in the cruise cabins - we do ask that each individual bring just one (1) checked suitcase (so 2 combined checked suitcases per couple).
Mountainland customers will be traveling to New England on Delta, United, JetBlue and American Airlines based on availability. We cannot guarantee a specific airline to passengers. If you would like to upgrade your flights to New England, or purchase flights on your own, you must contact Mieke White (mwhite@wrenintl.com) before Dec 12th. If purchasing your own flights, a travel credit up to $600 per person will be issued to you as a refund once the trip concludes.
The Trip
You may bring 1 guest. Guests must be 21 or older, with no more than two guests per stateroom. This is a rewards-based trip for Mountainland customers. As such, Wren International cannot make arrangements for additional outside guests or family members.
Insurance coverage for the dates of the travel program is provided. Such insurance can protect travelers in cases of medical emergencies, accidents, baggage delays, and possible delays with group flights. In such cases, each traveler would file a claim with the insurance provider as needed.
Additional insurance coverage leading up to the actual travel program is not provided (such as trip cancellation due to personal reasons prior to departure).
Tipping is included on all group airport transfers and confirmed group activities. For optional tours and personal activities, you are encouraged to include a tip when good service is provided.
As a general rule, we recommend all participants to be cautious while traveling, but don’t forget to also relax and enjoy your time!
